Ideas for Home Ideas for the Garden Ideas for the Office Ideas for Kids
Whether it’s on a baseball diamond, soccer field or track, warm weather and exercise brings out the thirst in all of us. On any given Saturday in Yamhill County there are about 2,000 kids playing soccer on organized teams. That’s a lot of water and sport drink containers! Make sure when you grab a drink or your family provides beverages for your team, you think about their containers, too.

Here are things to consider:

Aluminum cans: Easily recycled at local facilities.

Foil pouch containers: Not recyclable locally.

Glass bottles: Recyclable, but not the best choice for sports use because of the possibility of breakage.

Plastic bottles: Easily recycled at local facilities.

Reusable bottles: You’ll help save the environment and money by reusing a container for your practices and games.

Remember, if your field does not have recycling containers, bring your cans and bottles home. Curbside recycling for plastic and aluminum is offered in most parts of the county.
